Master classes

During the ‘Barabaniy Bit 2012” Festival in Belarus, Aleksandr Garkavy’s master class took place at the National Culture University on the 13th of November. It was met with the high level of interest within the participants and listeners. Aleksannds had brough two vintage drums 20"x14" Premier, 1968 and 14"x5" Ludwig Supraphonic 400, 1967.For about two hours Aleksandr gave his master class, telling about the creation of the sound, historical background and routs of authentic instruments. Aleksandr was giving secrets of studio and concert practice, telling his stories with lots of interesting details and funny jokes from the band travel life. Showing different ways of plastic tension, Aleksandr was able to demonstrate all sorts of styles – 50s and 60s blues and early rock’n’roll up to the modern r’n’b and funk gospel music.
